Forage ManagementThe lesson plans consist of (a) Orientation to Forage Management, (b) Establishing Forages, (c) Renovation and Maintenance of Forages, (d) Making, Harvesting and Storing Quality Forage and Seed, (e) Management of Grazing Systems and (f) Cost and Returns for Forages. Other items include the MU Beef Cow-Calf Series, State Grasslands Contest Study Guide and the Adult Ag Ed brochure. Horse ManagementThe unit was designed for recreational horse owners. Participants are asked to formulate management suggestions for the individual owner based upon their personal situation. The lesson plans consist of (a) Introduction, (b) Health, (c) Nutrition, (d) Reproduction, (e) Selection and Genetics, (f) Foot Care and Shoeing, (g) Facilities and Equipment, (h) Legal Aspects of Horse Ownership and (i) Horse Judging and Evaluation. Landscaping ManagementThe lesson plans consist of (a) Introduction, (b) Soils, Fertilizing and Watering, (c) Lawn and Turf Management, (d) Selecting Annuals and Perennials, (e) Selecting Trees and Shrubs, (f) Landscape Design, (g) Landscape Construction, (h) Maintaining the Landscape, (i) Diseases and Disorders and (j) Cost Analysis.
